Project Overview

Scope

• Perform site visit and detailed field verification of installation area
• Conduct laser scanning of existing facility conditions
• Process scan data to develop accurate 3D models
• Design structural support system for new filter press equipment
• Develop process piping routes to connect filter press to existing tie-in points
• Design rupture disc system and associated discharge piping to sump
• Evaluate spatial constraints and equipment clearances
• Produce piping isometrics for new process lines
• Update existing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Support fabrication and installation through detailed engineering deliverables

Solution

Engineering Design Services leveraged high-resolution laser scanning and 3D modeling to accurately capture existing conditions and identify spatial constraints within the installation area. This data-driven approach enabled precise layout of the filter press, structural supports, and associated piping systems. EDS engineered a compact and efficient design that ensured proper clearances, safe operation, and integration with existing infrastructure. All deliverables were developed to support seamless fabrication and installation in a highly constrained brownfield environment.
