Engineering Design Services has completed various projects in the renewable energy industry and has the expertise to meet any clients’ needs. EDS has significant experience in renewable energy including the engineering and design of state-of-the-art hydrogen production systems.
Hydrogen Production Skid
Engineering Design Services LLC was contracted to develop a skid mounted system for the production of Hydrogen via the use of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) electrolysis. EDS was able to provide turnkey support for the design, engineering and construction of the equipment. The engineering of the entire system took nearly a year to complete and was completed with zero change orders.
The final product was designed such that the only inputs required were city water and electricity in order to produce ultra-pure Hydrogen.
Engineering Design Services LLC is currently working on three other Hydrogen Production systems of various sizes and output capacities.
Remote Power Station
A client required a remote power station for running intermittent communications equipment. EDS designed a solar powered battery bank that was able to provide the power required for the system.
Green Ammonia Feasibility Study
Engineering Design Services worked towards the development of a green ammonia facility that would use wind power, seawater, electrolyzer sourced Hydrogen and Nitrogen from the air to generate green ammonia.
Additionally, the facility would be placed offshore, removing the need to run underwater conduit from the turbines back to land – one of the major costs of offshore wind systems.
Carbon Capture and Sequestration
Engineering Design Services LLC helped a facility plan for converting their Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) into a carbon neutral SMR by adding carbon capture to the point source emissions.
Predominant Use Study
Did you know if 51% of electricity at a facility is used for manufacturing, your company can be tax exempt? EDS completed a Predominant Use Study for a local fractionator to determine whether they are tax exempt. The results of the study showed that the facility was indeed tax exempt and they were able to not only save millions of dollars in taxes every year, but were also able to recoup their tax dollars from previous years!
