Greenfield Development

Project Overview

Engineering Design Services supported and served as the Engineer’s Representative for a $78 million Total Installed Cost (TIC) greenfield development project. The project involved the construction of a new industrial facility, requiring close coordination among the client, prime contractor, and multiple engineering teams to ensure seamless execution.

As Engineer’s Representative, EDS provided detailed engineering support throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities included supporting the development and review of detailed engineering deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and assisting with technical alignment between design intent and field execution. EDS helped resolve technical questions, track design progress, and provide solutions to challenges encountered during the 10-month project schedule.

The greenfield nature of the project allowed for a fully optimized facility layout, with considerations for process efficiency, operational safety, and long-term reliability. EDS’s involvement ensured that engineering deliverables met client expectations, regulatory standards, and practical construction requirements.

This project highlights EDS’s capability to act as a trusted engineering partner on large capital projects. By supporting the prime contractor and serving as Engineer’s Representative, Engineering Design Services contributed to the successful realization of a new asset while maintaining technical quality, schedule adherence, and coordination across all project stakeholders.

Key Achievements

  • Assisted in the review and alignment of detailed engineering deliverables, helping ensure design intent was translated effectively to field execution.
