Project Overview

This project involved a comprehensive risk-based inspection, engineering analysis, and repair planning for a deteriorating sand silo located in a locomotive shop. With no prior inspection history and visible signs of degradation, Engineering Design Services was brought in to assess the silo's condition and provide actionable recommendations. The scope included inspection planning, high-definition scanning, and engineering evaluations, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the silo's safety and structural integrity while preparing it for rejuvenation efforts.
